According to the county on December 16, the inspection focused on six items in high winter demand, such as strawberries and greenhouse vegetables, with 11 samples randomly collected. A detailed analysis was carried out for 463 types of pesticide residues.

The inspection results showed that nine samples, including strawberries and spinach, contained pesticide residues below the permissible limits, while two samples of cabbage showed no pesticide residues at all. No agricultural products exceeding the permissible standards were found in this inspection.

The county conducts more than 1,000 pre-delivery inspections annually to ensure the safety of local food agricultural products and has established a systematic safety management network through regular monitoring of products currently on sale.

A county official stated, "For the past two consecutive years, we have received full marks in all categories in the international pesticide residue proficiency test organized by the UK Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA), demonstrating our analytical capabilities. We will continue to conduct random safety inspections and strengthen pesticide safety education for producers so that consumers can confidently purchase agricultural products from Jinan County."
