[2026 Regular Admissions] Dongduk Women's University to Admit 555 Students... Business, Pharmacy Departments Move to Group A

Reduced Score Gaps Between English Grades, Lowering Applicant Burden

Dongduk Women's University will admit a total of 555 students (473 within the quota and 82 outside the quota) for the 2026 regular admissions cycle.

The key feature of this year's regular admissions is the shift in recruitment groups. Most departments, including Humanities, Social Sciences, Business, Natural Information (excluding Physical Education), and the College of Pharmacy, have moved to Group A. The Division of Interdisciplinary Studies will also continue to recruit in Group A, as in the previous year. In Group B, students will be selected for the Division of Humanities, Social and Cultural Studies, the Division of Natural Information Convergence, Physical Education, Painting, and the College of Performing Arts. In Group C, admissions will be held for the College of Arts and Design Innovation. The final number of students to be admitted will be announced on the Admissions Office website on the 26th.

Starting from the 2026 academic year, 35% of the admissions score will be based on the better result between Korean and Mathematics, with the remaining subject accounting for 25%. English and one elective subject will each account for 20%. However, for the Department of Pharmacy, Mathematics (Calculus or Geometry) will account for 35%, Korean for 25%, English for 20%, and two science subjects for 20%. For the Communication Content major and the Cultural Arts Management major, three areas (one of either Korean or Mathematics, English, and one elective subject) will be weighted equally. For the Entrepreneurship major, Korean will account for 20%, Mathematics for 20%, English for 50%, and one elective subject for 10%.

The burden on applicants for the English section has been reduced by narrowing the score gap between grades. The score for Grade 2 has been raised to 99 points (previously 97), and for Grade 3 to 96 points (previously 91). Additionally, applicants to the College of Natural Information Sciences who select Calculus or Geometry and whose Mathematics percentile is higher than their Korean percentile will receive an additional 5% of their Mathematics percentile as bonus points. For Korean History, applicants will receive the full 3 bonus points (perfect score) up to Grade 4.

The same calculation method applies to the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies, the Division of Humanities, Social and Cultural Studies, and the Division of Natural Information Convergence, where 35% is based on the better result between Korean and Mathematics, and 25% on the other subject. Therefore, applicants should carefully consider their strengths and weaknesses by subject area. Meanwhile, for the Entrepreneurship major, the weighting for English is very high at 50%, with Korean and Mathematics each at 20% and the elective subject at 10%, making it advantageous for students with strong English scores.

For applicants with outstanding practical skills, the practical test carries significant weight; however, for Physical Education (80% based on the College Scholastic Ability Test), and for Painting, Digital Crafts, and Design Innovation (60% based on the CSAT), the CSAT score is also important. In particular, note that the Painting major has moved to Group B. For the Arts and Physical Education fields, the CSAT will equally reflect three areas: one chosen from Korean or Mathematics, English, and one elective subject.

The special admissions track for applicants aged 30 or older or those with at least three years of work experience in an industry will be based 100% on document evaluation, such as the student record, without the College Scholastic Ability Test.
