Lee Jin-ho: "During Park Narae's Home Theft Case,
Her Ex-Boyfriend Collected the Managers' Personal Information"
Comedian Park Narae is currently embroiled in legal battles and facing various allegations after being accused of abuse of power by her former managers. It has now been claimed that the catalyst for the current controversy was the theft at Park Narae's 5.5 billion won single-family home in April. At the time, Park Narae's side reportedly suspected her managers of being the thieves and even submitted their personal information to the police.
On December 15, Lee Jin-ho, a YouTuber and former entertainment journalist, explained the circumstances surrounding the theft at Park Narae's home through his YouTube channel, arguing that this incident was the decisive factor that prompted the former managers to raise their issues. Lee Jin-ho stated, "After the theft, the possibility of an insider being involved was raised, and the situation deteriorated rapidly."
"They said it was for the employment contract, but it was submitted to the police... Felt deeply betrayed"
According to Lee Jin-ho, the only people coming and going from the house at the time were two managers and one stylist, none of whom had employment contracts or the four major insurances. Lee Jin-ho claimed, "Park Narae's ex-boyfriend, referred to as Mr. A, collected their personal information under the pretext of preparing employment contracts, but the individuals later found out that this information had been submitted to the police as reference material for the theft case, which left them feeling deeply betrayed." He further explained that the managers realized they were suspects during their direct contact with investigators.
After the investigation concluded, it was revealed that the person apprehended for the theft was a third party with no connection to Park Narae. Nevertheless, Lee Jin-ho analyzed that the issues regarding employment contracts and the four major insurances, which surfaced after the theft, remained unresolved for several months, deepening the conflict.
Police receive a total of six complaints related to Park Narae..."Strict investigation policy"
Park Narae is expected to be questioned by the police soon. At a regular press briefing on December 15, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated that there are five cases in which Park Narae is the defendant and one case in which Park Narae's side is the complainant. The police said, "The cases against Park Narae are being investigated by the Gangnam Police Station, while the case filed by Park Narae's side is being handled by the Yongsan Police Station. The complaints have just been filed, so neither the complainants nor the defendants have been questioned yet. We will proceed with a thorough investigation according to procedures."
This issue began when Park Narae's former managers filed a complaint against her at the Gangnam Police Station. They claimed to have suffered workplace harassment, verbal abuse, unpaid business expenses, and proxy prescriptions at the hands of Park Narae, and accused her of special injury, defamation by stating false facts, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation). In response, Park Narae filed a counter-complaint against the former managers on December 5, accusing them of attempted blackmail.
In addition to this case, Park Narae has also been reported for violating the Medical Service Act, as she allegedly received IV drips from an unlicensed individual and was prescribed medication that requires a specialist's prescription. The police plan to continue investigating allegations related to the so-called "injection aunt," who is believed to have administered IV drips to Park Narae.
