On December 15, Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province held the "2025 Report Meeting on the Promotion of 50 Major Strategic Projects," conducting a comprehensive review of this year's key issues and the achievements of its flagship and targeted initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Seo Taewon, Governor of Gapyeong County, as well as the Deputy Governor, department heads, and all division leaders, who shared the outcomes of the 2025 strategic projects and discussed areas that require further improvement. The 2025 strategic projects have been selected and managed with a focus on realizing the vision of the 8th popularly elected administration, "Gapyeong: A City Where Nature Blossoms into the Economy," aiming to revitalize the local economy, establish a foundation for future growth, and improve residential conditions.


During the meeting, particular attention was given to projects that encountered issues or need further enhancement in their implementation processes, including: the establishment of the US and British Commonwealth Tourism Security Park, improvements to pet-friendly facilities at the Yeoninsan Multipurpose Camping Site, the creation of the Cheongpyeong Abandoned Railway Trail, the construction of the Gapyeong County Senior Welfare Center, the establishment of an animal protection center, and the construction of a lifelong learning center.


Governor Seo Taewon stated, "2025 will effectively be the final year of the 8th popularly elected administration, marking a crucial period as the core projects promised to residents enter their final stages. Based on communication with the residents, we will further enhance the completeness of county administration and do our utmost to help Gapyeong County take another leap forward."
