As part of its initiative to prioritize the safety of residents, the county plans to distribute the stickers to drivers aged 65 and older who own vehicles within the county.

The stickers being distributed this time have been designed to clearly display the phrase "Senior Driver" in white letters on a blue background, in accordance with the revised Road Traffic Act. Notably, they are made of reflective material to enhance safety by ensuring easy visibility by other vehicles even at night.

In response to the increasing number of elderly drivers and the corresponding rise in traffic accidents each year, the county is implementing a range of safety measures. In addition to distributing the stickers, the county is also leading efforts to create a safer traffic environment by supporting incentives for voluntary surrender of driver's licenses by senior citizens.

A county official stated, "Through the distribution of 'Senior Driver' stickers, we hope to foster a culture of consideration and yielding rather than vague anxiety toward elderly drivers," adding, "Depending on demand, we will continue to expand the production and distribution of these stickers in the future."
