Pocheon City to Open 'Dureundureun' Education, Care, and Culture Complex on December 25

Celebratory Performances by Singer K.Will and Crossover Group La Classe Planned

Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the opening ceremony for the Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space 'Dureundureun' on December 25.

The Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space 'Dureundureun' is a citizen-friendly education and culture complex designed so that people of all ages, from children to adults, can stay and experience learning, play, care, and culture as a natural part of daily life.

Pocheon City plans to use the opening ceremony as an opportunity to fully operate Dureundureun as a regional hub, connecting education, care, and leisure services tailored to different life stages.

Prior to the opening ceremony, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the same day, citizen participation experience programs will be offered. A variety of family-friendly activities will be available, including a Christmas photo zone, craft workshops, magic shows, and extended reality (XR) experiences.

The main event, the opening ceremony, will feature an introduction to the facility, commemorative and congratulatory speeches, and an official opening performance. This will be followed by celebratory performances by singer K.Will and the crossover group La Classe, as well as a fireworks display.

A Pocheon City official stated, "The Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space Dureundureun is expected to establish itself as a Pocheon-style education and care platform, closely connecting citizens' daily lives from child care to lifelong learning. Based on this, we will continue to expand education, care, and culture policies that provide practical help to each and every citizen."

The Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space Dureundureun is a three-story, 4,817-square-meter facility that integrates education, care, and culture. It houses a variety of spaces, including Pocheon Aebom 365 Soheul, the Childcare Support Center, the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) Public Learning Center, the Soheul Lifelong Learning Center, and a book cafe. The center offers customized programs for every stage of life, from infant care and parent education to after-school care and learning support for elementary students, as well as lifelong learning for adults-all in one place.
