This contest was designed to enhance the brand value of Hallym's AI education solutions by reflecting students' perspectives and ideas, as well as to strengthen students' AI utilization capabilities. The AI Utilization Branding Contest focused on branding for the "Hallym AI Education Solution," which is currently being developed by the AI Edutech Center. One grand prize winner, four excellence award winners, and four encouragement award winners were selected. In the AI Math Tutor Improvement Idea Contest, participants proposed improvement measures and future usage plans based on their experiences with the AI Math Tutor service, resulting in one grand prize winner and three excellence award winners.
At the awards ceremony, Park Hyeonje, Director of the AI Edutech Center, stated, "This contest is an important opportunity to realize Hallym University's vision of becoming an 'AI University' together with students." He added, "We will actively incorporate the creative and practical ideas from the winning entries into actual improvements for the AI education solution starting in 2026." He also emphasized, "Participation in the contest is a meaningful achievement that demonstrates students' AI utilization skills and creative problem-solving abilities."
During the event, the grand prize winners from each contest delivered their acceptance speeches. Shin Hyunkyung, a student in the Department of Food and Nutrition and the grand prize winner in the branding category, said, "'HALO (Hallym's AI Learning Orbit)' is an idea that aims to realize AI as a companion in students' learning journeys. It was a meaningful experience to design the university's AI brand from a student's perspective and to see the results reflected in actual education."
Kim Kyunghwan, a student in the Department of Chemistry and the grand prize winner in the AI Math Tutor Improvement Idea category, said, "I aimed to address the difficulties and limitations of traditional math learning based on user experience. I hope that features such as the conversational AI tutor, concept visualization, and personalized difficulty adjustment will enable students to learn more efficiently."
Meanwhile, Hallym University is promoting AI-based educational innovation through the Ministry of Education's Glocal University 30 project. The university is expanding AI-utilization education across the campus by introducing AI-integrated courses, operating programs to enhance AI teaching and learning capabilities, and holding AI utilization contests. Based on these efforts, Hallym University is working to establish the K-University model and improve its AI education service platform.
