Gimpo City Appoints Kang Kyungpil, Kim Kimoon, and Yeom Gyusang as New Legal Advisors

Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo) appointed lawyers Kang Kyungpil, Kim Kimoon, and Yeom Gyusang as legal advisors for Gimpo City in the communication room on the 2nd floor of the main building on the 12th.

Kim Byungsoo, Mayor of Gimpo City, emphasized the importance of the legal advisors' roles and asked the newly appointed advisors, "With a deep understanding of the city and a warm heart, I ask for your active counsel and litigation support. I expect this will greatly contribute to the realization of municipal administration."

The newly appointed legal advisors will serve for two years as legal advisors for Gimpo City starting from January 1, 2026. They will be responsible for handling civil and administrative litigation arising during the processing of administrative and civil affairs, as well as providing legal interpretation and counsel.

Currently, Gimpo City has seven legal advisors. From January 2026, with the addition of the three newly appointed advisors, a total of ten legal advisors will be active.

Meanwhile, lawyer Kang Kyungpil previously served as Chief Prosecutor at the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office and Head of the Public Trial and Litigation Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. He is currently actively working as a legal advisor for several local governments, including Seongnam City.

Lawyer Kim Kimoon was appointed as a legal advisor to the Gimpo City Council, one of the pillars of Gimpo City's administration, in October 2020, and has faithfully provided counsel on all aspects of legislative activities.

Lawyer Yeom Gyusang has actively participated in volunteer activities for the development of the city and its citizens, serving as a member of the Gimpo City Civil Complaints Dispute Mediation Committee and as a legal consultant.
