Linked with Smart Tech Bridge
Supporting the Commercialization of Outstanding R&D Outcomes
On December 15, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) announced that it had signed a business agreement with the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) at the KOTEC Seoul branch to support the transfer and successful commercialization of outstanding environmental technologies to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This agreement aims to establish a cooperative foundation by linking KOTEC's technology transaction platform, "Smart Tech Bridge," with KEITI's capabilities in operating environmental industry development projects. The goal is to ensure that research and development (R&D) outcomes in the environmental sector are effectively transferred and commercialized by SMEs.

Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to collaborate in various areas, including: supporting the transfer and commercialization of environmental R&D results to SMEs; establishing an information-sharing system for technology transfer and commercialization; utilizing an electronic contract system through Smart Tech Bridge; supporting global technology transfer in the environmental sector for SMEs; and providing technology protection support for small and venture companies in the environmental field.
In addition, KOTEC established the "Technology Know-how Center" within Smart Tech Bridge this year, offering customized brokerage services not only for patented technologies but also for know-how technologies owned by public research institutions. With this agreement, KOTEC will further strengthen practical support by registering and brokering KEITI's latest know-how technologies in the environmental sector, enabling SMEs to secure and immediately utilize technologies in the field and promote commercialization.
Lee Sangchang, Director of KOTEC, stated, "This agreement has laid the foundation for outstanding R&D outcomes in the environmental sector to be smoothly commercialized. Going forward, KOTEC will continue to expand cooperation with related organizations, promote the commercialization of public research outcomes centering on Smart Tech Bridge, and strengthen support to ensure that technologies meeting SME demand are connected in a timely manner."
