By account, the general account was 1.6416 trillion won and the special account was 298.4 billion won. Of the 17 items reduced, totaling 223 million won, all were from the general account. As a result, the final 2026 budget for Jinju City was set at 1.9398 trillion won.

On the same day, the Jinju City Council also adopted a proposal urging countermeasures for farms affected by persimmon anthracnose due to abnormal climate conditions.

Assemblywoman Shin Seokyung, who explained the proposal, pointed out that farm damage caused by the climate crisis is occurring periodically and emphasized that support for farmers is urgently needed, as persimmon anthracnose and some other crop diseases are still not covered by crop disaster insurance. She called on the government to implement responsible policies.
