Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Public Design Achievements Exhibition' in the first-floor lobby of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building from December 17 to 19, 2025. The exhibition aims to share the outcomes of public design projects with citizens and to promote the spread of design innovation in everyday life.
The exhibition consists of five categories: ▲Universal design projects for transportation-vulnerable groups ▲Certified products of excellent public facilities design for 2025 ▲Selected works from the public design contest ▲Outcomes of the design sharing project ▲Results of the crime prevention urban environment design project. Each exhibit demonstrates Gyeonggi Province's inclusive design policies and creative approaches to solving local issues.
In particular, the universal design section will showcase case studies of improved facilities, walkways, and spaces that children, the elderly, and people with disabilities can use conveniently. The certified excellent design products will feature public facilities that combine both functionality and aesthetics.
Additionally, visitors can appreciate works featuring the fresh ideas of young designers among the contest winners. The design sharing project section will display design projects carried out in collaboration with local communities, while the crime prevention design section will present examples of safe environment implementation.
Kang Gilsun, Director of Architectural Policy at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through this exhibition, we hope to show that public design is more than just an aesthetic element; it is a tool that enhances the quality of life for residents." He added, "We will continue to expand design policies that resonate with people from all walks of life."
