Board of Audit and Inspection Holds 'Management Workshop for Restoring Public Trust'... Shares Operational TF Results

The Board of Audit and Inspection held a "Managers' Workshop for Restoring Public Trust" on December 17 at the Audit Training Institute, targeting managers at the director level and above, to discuss strategies for improving the audit culture and operational strategies aimed at regaining public trust.

This workshop brought together all senior managers, including the Secretary General, the First and Second Deputy Secretaries General, the Director General for Planning and Coordination, and directors and division heads. The purpose was to share the results of the "Operational Innovation Task Force (TF)," which concluded its activities in December, and to discuss strategies for the operation and development of the Board of Audit and Inspection so that it can once again become an institution trusted by the public.


During the morning session, Professor Lim Byeongsik from Soonchunhyang University delivered a keynote presentation titled "The Board of Audit and Inspection as Seen from the Outside," aiming to prepare the organization for a future that meets public expectations. In the afternoon session, Inspector Moon Kanghee will share cases of coercive audits identified during the TF review process, and participants will discuss ways to secure procedural legitimacy and enhance the credibility of audit results.


Next, Director General for Planning and Coordination Lee Yoonjae will present the outcomes of the TF activities and share future institutional improvements and tasks to be addressed. Finally, Secretary General Jeong Sangwoo will communicate with the managers, emphasizing the need to improve the audit culture and outlining the overall operational direction and future path of the organization.


The Board of Audit and Inspection stated that, starting with this workshop for managers, it plans to expand training to all employees. The organization will actively improve the audit culture to restore public trust and foster a sense of mission as the nation’s supreme audit institution, while continuously supplementing and operating to address unreasonable systems.
