Through this event, the corporation provided 280 bags (20 kg each) of white rice to senior meal centers at nine permanent rental apartment complexes, including Dongsam, Dadae, and Deokcheon districts. The rice was allocated to each complex according to the number of households.
The rice supplied will be used for free meals for seniors and vulnerable groups at the senior meal centers in the social welfare facilities of each permanent rental apartment complex. In particular, by contracting with facilities that produce goods made by people with severe disabilities, the corporation also contributed to creating jobs for people with disabilities and improving their welfare.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, said, "I hope this Sharing Love Rice campaign will help seniors in rental apartments get through the winter," adding, "We will take the lead in eliminating welfare blind spots and improving the quality of life for residents through a variety of housing welfare projects."
