This council was organized based on Articles 7 and 9 of the "Ordinance on the Promotion of Career Education by the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education." Its purpose was to review the current state of career education in the province and to discuss the direction for 2026.

The meeting was attended by nine experts from various fields, including the Director of Education, the provincial council, local governments, universities, career experience centers, and parents, who served as council members. They engaged in in-depth discussions focused on the achievements of Gangwon's career education initiatives in 2025 and the main project plans for 2026.

The meeting included reports on the outcomes of career education efforts carried out this year and the operation results of the press editor pilot program "Writing About Our Hometown." In addition, plans were shared for the new flagship project for 2026, the "K-Culture Media Art Career Exploration Program," as well as for the operation of a career education achievement report session. Participants exchanged various opinions on expanding career exploration opportunities for students in the province and addressing educational disparities between regions.

The council members proposed concrete measures such as expanding career exploration programs in the arts and media fields, strengthening collaborative partnerships with local career experience institutions, and systematically disseminating best practices from research schools. They also discussed the future direction for the advancement of Gangwon's career education next year.

The Provincial Office of Education plans to further enhance the 2026 career education policy based on the suggestions discussed at this council and to strengthen the support system so that all students in Gangwon Province can have equal opportunities for career exploration.

Kim Seongrae, Director of Secondary Education, said, "The valuable insights provided by the council members will serve as a significant driving force in establishing a more robust career education policy for Gangwon in the future," adding, "We will continue to pursue practical career education that incorporates voices from the field, so that students can discover their strengths and potential and proactively plan for their futures."
