KakaoBank launched "KakaoBank AI," an integrated conversational artificial intelligence (AI) service, on December 15, 2025.
KakaoBank has unified its previously separate AI services-including "AI Search," "AI Financial Calculator," "AI Transfer," and "Consultation Chatbot"-into a single conversational window called "KakaoBank AI." A new "AI Tab" has been added to the home screen, allowing customers to conveniently access AI services whenever needed.
With "KakaoBank AI," users can enter a variety of requests in everyday language-such as remittances, information searches, or calculations-and the AI will analyze the input and automatically connect them to the most suitable conversational AI service. For example, if a user types "Send 5,000 won to my mom," the AI recognizes the intent, calls the "AI Transfer" service, and initiates the remittance process.
"KakaoBank AI" also offers an enhanced consultation chatbot experience. With the newly added "My Information Inquiry" function, customers can now check personalized information-such as account details, automatic transfer history, and transaction sources-directly within the chat window.
Accessibility to "KakaoBank AI" from the home screen has also been improved. At the top of the screen, the AI proactively suggests useful financial schedules and information-such as "Ask AI" or "Let me tell you the year-end tax adjustment schedule"-to naturally guide users to "KakaoBank AI." In addition, a dedicated "AI Tab" has been added to the bottom navigation bar, enabling one-tap access to AI services from anywhere within the app.
KakaoBank also unveiled a new logo symbolizing its vision as an "AI bank." To celebrate the launch, a special event will be held: from December 17, 2025, to January 25, 2026, 10,000 customers who use the "KakaoBank AI" service will be randomly selected to receive a 10,000-won KakaoTalk Gift Shop voucher.
KakaoBank plans to continue introducing a variety of AI services. By the end of this year, it will launch innovative AI features such as "AI Group Treasurer," which combines group accounts with AI, and "AI Sign Language Consultation," designed to assist hearing-impaired customers. Next year, the company aims to expand AI applications to include financial product summary explanations, product searches, and investment information services. A KakaoBank representative stated, "We will continue to introduce AI services that meet the diverse needs of our customers and establish ourselves as an 'everyday AI bank.'"
