On December 15, Samsung Securities analyzed that Galaxia Moneytree recorded the highest operating margin in the industry.
Hong Jinhyun, a researcher at Samsung Securities, stated, "Galaxia Moneytree posted cumulative sales of 96.4 billion won and operating profit of 14.3 billion won for the first three quarters of this year," adding, "Operating profit increased by 47% compared to the same period last year."
He further explained, "The cumulative operating margin for the third quarter was 14.9%, a significant improvement from 9.9% in the same period last year," and emphasized, "It has reached the highest level in the industry."
Researcher Hong analyzed, "The improvement in profitability is due to the increased proportion of credit card payments over mobile payments and the growth in large-scale and business-to-business (B2B) merchant transactions, which led to enhanced transaction stability and improved margin structure."
He also highlighted, "The online-to-offline (O2O) business continues to maintain the number one market share in department store mobile gift certificates," adding, "Following the incidents with TMON and WEMAKEPRICE, the company is seizing opportunities to increase its market share by developing new channels."
The Moneytree Card, with its low cost ratio and high unit margin, is maintaining rapid growth as a business model.
Researcher Hong projected, "Next year, the payment industry is expected to benefit from a favorable environment due to the government's continued economic stimulus policies and increased consumer spending power driven by an active stock market," and explained, "Galaxia Moneytree has a broader payment value chain compared to other payment companies, which gives it significant potential for expansion into settlement and distribution of stablecoins and wallet-linked payments in the future."
As an extension of its STO business, Galaxia Moneytree applied for a license for 'beneficiary certificate investment brokerage' in September and is pursuing a tokenized securities issuance business based on aircraft engines as underlying assets.
