Awards for Outstanding Volunteers and Changwon City Volunteer King
Changwon Special City held the '2025 Changwon City Volunteer Awards Ceremony' at Changwon Convention Center.
The event, held on December 12, was organized by the Changwon City Volunteer Organizations Council to commemorate Volunteer Day and to widely promote the dedicated volunteer activities carried out quietly throughout the region.
On this day, more than 300 people, including volunteers from Changwon City, attended the event, which featured a commemorative ceremony including a video presentation on volunteer activities and awards for outstanding volunteers. The event also included a gathering for volunteer unity, providing an opportunity to look back on and celebrate the year's activities.
A total of 91 individuals were honored with awards for their contributions to volunteerism, including the Prime Minister's Award at the Korea Sharing National Awards, the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the Korea Volunteer Awards, the Provincial Governor's Award, the 2025 Changwon City Volunteer King, and awards for outstanding volunteers.
Jeon Jeong-suk, President of the Changwon City Volunteer Organizations Council, said, "This ceremony is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the hard work of volunteers who have quietly served throughout the region. We will continue to reflect on the value of service and do our best to support activities for our community and neighbors."
Jang Geum-yong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "The warm hearts and actions of our volunteers are a great strength supporting our community. The city will strengthen support so that volunteers can take pride in their activities, and we will strive to create a community where all citizens can share warmth."
