The training consisted of two sessions: patient transfer methods and joint exercise techniques. Song Taeyoon, chief of the physical therapy department at Paju Hospital, served as the instructor.
In the first session, participants learned and practiced the basic principles and precautions for safe patient transfer. The second session focused on the objectives of joint exercises and included hands-on practice applying range-of-motion exercises for major joints.
All practical exercises were conducted in pairs, enabling participants to immediately apply the relevant skills in real-world settings.
Participants showed great interest as they experienced how to safely and effectively apply the techniques to patients during the hands-on training. On site, there was positive feedback, with comments such as, "It was a beneficial training that can be applied immediately in practice."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Paju Hospital has been providing practical training in various fields such as emergency care, infection control, and caregiving throughout this year. The hospital plans to continue offering customized training programs that reflect on-site needs in 2026, further contributing to strengthening the competencies of local healthcare workers.
