"Plans to Expand Across All Woori Financial Group Affiliates"
Woori Bank announced that it launched its generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based image creation service, 'W-Sketch,' on November 24. Woori Bank is the first in Korea to independently develop an image generation AI based on its brand character and design assets.
After verifying its practical usability through an internal proof of concept (PoC) stage last year, Woori Bank expanded the application of W-Sketch this year to cover overall design work-including characters, objects, and illustrations-making it available to all departments.
The bank explained that employees can instantly generate images at a graphic designer's level simply by entering commands, and that 'WeBee,' the flagship character of Woori Financial Group, can be rendered at a quality suitable for immediate use in work-related content.
Woori Bank plans to further automate marketing production work for its mobile app 'Woori WON Banking' by expanding the AI's ability to automatically recommend colors, fonts, and layouts that align with the bank's brand guidelines. In the future, the bank aims to upgrade 'W-Sketch' into an 'AI Banner Generator' and roll it out across all affiliates of Woori Financial Group.
Woori Bank stated, "With this implementation, the speed of producing visual materials such as reports, branch marketing guides, and social media content is expected to increase significantly, and the efficiency of design work, including enhanced brand consistency, will also be greatly improved." The bank added, "'W-Sketch' is an innovative service that easily expands Woori Financial Group's flagship character WeBee and brand assets based on AI," and further noted, "Through the future advancement of the AI banner generator, we will take work efficiency and design consistency to the next level."
