Sung Si-kyung’s Former Manager Not Referred to Prosecution for Embezzlement Allegations... Agency Says "No Desire for Punishment"

"Hoping for an Amicable Resolution"
"Requesting No Further Speculation or Overinterpretation"

The police have decided not to refer the case involving singer Sung Si-kyung’s former manager, who was reported by a third party on suspicion of occupational embezzlement.

The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on December 12 that it had decided this month not to refer Sung Si-kyung’s former manager, who had been reported on suspicion of occupational embezzlement and other charges. The decision was made because Sung Si-kyung's agency did not wish to pursue punishment.

The police stated, "The agency said they did not want the case to proceed. The third-party complainant was also unaware of the details related to the alleged embezzlement," explaining the reason for the decision.

On the same day, SK Jaewon Co., Ltd., Sung Si-kyung’s agency, released an official statement saying, "While we were handling this matter with care, we confirmed that an unidentified third party had submitted a complaint to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station." The agency added, "Given that this involves a former manager with whom we have built trust over a long period, we hope the situation can be resolved amicably."

The agency emphasized that the recovery of the victims’ situation is the most important priority. They also stated that they will actively cooperate to ensure that apologies and compensation can be provided in the manner the victims desire. Furthermore, they politely requested, "We sincerely ask that there be no unfounded speculation or overinterpretation regarding this matter."

Meanwhile, on November 3, SK Jaewon Co., Ltd. announced that a manager who had worked with Sung Si-kyung for a long time had engaged in actions that betrayed the company's trust during their tenure and had since left the company.
