Jangseong County Wins Minister of the Interior and Safety Award in Communication Category at "Government Innovation Championship"

Jangseong County in Jeonnam announced on December 12, 2025, that it had received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award in the Participation and Communication Innovation category of the "Government Innovation Championship," which is created together with the public.

The "Government Innovation Championship" is an event organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to discover outstanding innovation cases from central government agencies, local governments, and public institutions, and to share their achievements. This year, the event was divided into three categories: Participation and Communication Innovation created together with the public, Civil Service Innovation that changes the lives of citizens, and Work Process Innovation that generates results. A total of 41 outstanding cases were selected through expert evaluations and online public voting.

Jangseong County's "Jangseong Local Food Antenna Shop," which opened in March last year, was recognized as an outstanding innovation case in the Participation and Communication Innovation category. Located within the Army Mechanized School at Sangmu Base, the "Jangseong Local Food Antenna Shop" is a specialty store selling beverages and agricultural products made from local ingredients produced in Jangseong. It also promotes the county’s online shopping mall "Jangseong Mall" and seasonal agricultural specialties.

Kim Hanjong, Governor of Jangseong County, stated, "The expansion of sales channels for agricultural products, job creation, and improvements in food welfare for military personnel were highly evaluated." He added, "Building on this award, we will further strive to establish a sustainable food system that enables everyone to prosper together."
