National Pukyong University Hosts 'Artificial Intelligence and Future Convergence Technology Workshop'

Spotlight on Cutting-Edge Technologies:
Generative AI, 3D Geometric Shape Assembly, and Practical AI Model Implementation

National Pukyong University brought together the rapid currents of technological change by hosting the 'Artificial Intelligence and Future Convergence Technology Workshop'.

This year's workshop, held under the theme 'Generative AI Technology and Future Society', was organized to share the latest research achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and practical AI model implementation.

National Pukyong University has actively promoted the training of AI professionals and industry-academic cooperation in partnership with the Institute for Software Convergence and Innovation, the College of Information Convergence, the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, the Graduate School of AI Convergence (BK21), the RISE Busan Shared University AI Innovation Major, and the Korea Multimedia Society. This year's workshop drew significant attention, with a large number of domestic and international researchers and industry professionals participating online.

During the first session, Professor Cho Minsu of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) delivered a lecture titled '3D Geometric Shape Assembly via Combinative Matching', and Professor Kim Suhyeong of Chonnam National University gave a talk on 'Generative AI Technology and Future Society'.

In the second session, Professor Kim Hunhee of National Pukyong University presented lectures on 'Practical AI Model Implementation Using Cloud Computing' and 'Practical Artificial Intelligence Using Cloud Computing'.

Kim Youngbong, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute at National Pukyong University and chair of the workshop's organizing committee, stated, "As generative AI rapidly transforms industries and social structures, this workshop served as a crucial opportunity to accurately assess technological trends and explore future strategies. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen industry-academic-research collaboration centered on the university, aiming to become a research hub leading AI innovation in the Busan and Yeongnam regions."
