Park Narae Claims Misunderstandings Resolved...Former Managers Refute, "Not True"

Previously, when allegations of power abuse by Park Narae towards her managers surfaced, she stated on December 8, "In early November, two managers who were like family to me suddenly resigned. Since then, we had no opportunity to communicate, which led to misunderstandings. Yesterday, I was able to meet with my former manager in person, and we were able to clear up the misunderstandings and distrust between us."

However, on December 11, SBS News quoted Park Narae's former managers as saying, "There was no apology from Park Narae, and no settlement was reached." The former managers claimed, "The settlement terms proposed by both parties did not match, and Park Narae said, 'Let's resolve this through a thorough investigation and legal evidence.'"

They also stated that "the core issue here is Park Narae's power abuse towards us," and added, "Controversies such as proxy prescriptions and illegal medical practices, including the so-called 'Injection Aunt' allegations, are just one out of a hundred possible issues related to Park Narae." They warned of further revelations to come.

"Embezzlement, Illegal Medical Practices...Only a Fraction Has Been Revealed So Far," They Claim

The former managers continued, "Everything will be revealed one by one through the police investigation," and alleged that when Park Narae had regional schedules, she received illegal medical treatment from another person referred to as the 'IV Aunt.'

Regarding the so-called 'embezzlement allegations,' where the agency allegedly paid a salary to Park Narae's ex-boyfriend who did not actually work there, the former managers insisted, "Only a part of the truth has been made public so far."

Controversy Continues Despite Announcement of Hiatus

Earlier, on December 3, Park Narae's former managers filed a provisional seizure of her real estate at the Seoul Western District Court, alleging workplace bullying, aggravated assault, proxy prescriptions, unpaid operating expenses, and other abuses of power during their employment. They also claimed to have suffered personal mistreatment, such as being forced to run errands for snacks, being pressured to attend drinking gatherings, and being on standby 24 hours a day.

In addition, they accused Park Narae of falsely registering her ex-boyfriend as an official employee of the agency and paying him over 44 million won for 11 months from January to November this year. They further claimed that in August, she transferred over 300 million won to help her ex-boyfriend secure a lease deposit, and reported her to the authorities for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement).

In response, Park Narae's side stated, "After receiving their severance pay, the former managers additionally demanded an amount equivalent to 10% of the company's previous year's revenue. Their demands gradually increased, eventually reaching hundreds of millions of won." Park Narae has filed a counterclaim against the former managers on charges of blackmail.

Subsequently, Park Narae announced, "I have decided to suspend all broadcasting activities until everything is completely resolved." She has stepped down from MBC TV's variety show "I Live Alone" and tvN's "Amazing Saturday."
