Inspection of the Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development Project Site as Well
On December 11, Sangkeun Lee, Governor of Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province, personally visited the sites of the Goseong Dinosaur Museum remodeling project and the Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development Project (Sangjokam Digital Playground Landmark Project) at the Sangjokam Provincial Park area to inspect the progress.

The Goseong Dinosaur Museum remodeling project is a comprehensive renovation being carried out for the first time in 20 years since the museum opened. The project aims to create immersive media exhibitions utilizing various media in line with the latest exhibition trends. The Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development Project plans to offer visitors a variety of attractions by creating a multi-sensory dinosaur playground and a dinosaur adventure playground, as well as delight features, making use of the dinosaur footprint fossil site and the beautiful coastal scenery of Sangjokam Provincial Park.
During this on-site inspection, Governor Lee reviewed the progress of the projects, exchanged various opinions on the direction of content to further enhance visitor satisfaction, and checked safety measures for visitors to Sangjokam Provincial Park during the museum’s closure period in 2026.
An official from the county stated, "Through the museum remodeling and the Southern Region Wide-area Tourism Development Project, we will further strengthen the value of tourism resources at Sangjokam Provincial Park and do our utmost to establish Goseong as a leading destination representing dinosaur culture."
The official added, "During the museum’s closure, we will take proactive measures and conduct various promotional activities to ensure that visitors to Sangjokam Provincial Park do not experience any inconvenience."
