The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on December 11 that the 20th Urban and Architecture Joint Committee, held the previous day, had conditionally approved the designation and planning decision (draft) for the district unit planning area for the Gangnam-gu Cheongdam-dong 52 Station Area Revitalization Project.
The project site is located in a commercial area along Dosan-daero within the Gangnam Central International Business District. By pursuing a mixed-use development that includes prime-grade office facilities, the project is expected to help alleviate the shortage of office space supply.
The mixed-use complex will consist of eight underground floors and 35 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of approximately 64,460 square meters. The development will include office facilities, neighborhood living facilities, as well as cultural and assembly spaces. A multipurpose hall, which will be used as a conference hall, exhibition space, and small-scale performance venue, will be open to the public.

Along the section facing the main road, Dosan-daero (50 meters wide), a public open space (451.9 square meters) and an outdoor open area (280 square meters) will be created to provide an open urban rest area. A 3-meter-wide pedestrian zone will be established to improve pedestrian connectivity with Dosan-daero 94-gil (8 meters wide), a side street.
Following the approval of this district unit plan (draft), the project will proceed through additional permitting procedures, such as review by the architecture committee, with construction set to begin in the first half of next year and completion targeted for 2029.
A Seoul city official stated, "With the supply of prime-grade office facilities through this planning decision, new job creation is expected, and the commercial and cultural mixed-use spaces on the lower floors will become a key driver of new vitality in the Gangnam urban area."
