Yuyu Healthcare, a company specializing in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) for health functional foods, is actively leveraging export support policies from the government and local authorities to target the global market.
On December 11, Yuyu Healthcare announced that it recently signed a supply agreement with a Philippine distributor of health functional foods for three products, including a children's probiotic. Product registration is currently underway, with a local launch in the Philippines scheduled for the first half of next year. In addition, the company has completed a supply agreement with a Mongolian health supplement company for two body fat reduction products and is currently proceeding with the local registration process.
This year, Yuyu Healthcare was selected for the “Export Voucher Program” by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, receiving comprehensive and practical support covering the entire export process, including overseas marketing, buyer discovery, exhibition participation, overseas certification acquisition, and content creation. The company was also chosen for Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province’s “Total Marketing Support Project” and “Export Competitiveness Enhancement Project,” further strengthening its export capabilities.
The Total Marketing Support Project provides a package of services, including customized export diagnostics for companies, brand development, catalog and website production, and overseas online marketing, to establish a comprehensive foundation for global expansion. The Export Competitiveness Enhancement Project supports practical export execution by assisting with overseas certification acquisition for products, packaging design improvement, export and import logistics costs, and overseas patent applications.
Yoo Kyungsoo, CEO of Yuyu Healthcare, stated, “We are systematizing the entire process from marketing, certification, and buyer matching to actual export by actively utilizing export support programs from the government and local authorities,” and added, “Through an export-specialized production process linked to the soft capsule and liquid formulation production facilities of our second plant, scheduled for completion in the second half of next year, we aim to establish ourselves as a global partner in the production of health functional foods.”
On December 3, Yuyu Healthcare was selected as a Centennial Company leading the future of Gangwon’s economy. The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Centennial Company designation aims to foster companies that represent not only Gangwon but also South Korea by identifying long-standing enterprises of over 20 years in the province that demonstrate excellent management capabilities, technological innovation, and significant contributions to the regional economy.
