The Central Police Academy announced on December 11 that it will open a "Permanent Center for Circuit Physical Fitness Testing," offering police exam candidates an opportunity to experience the test firsthand.

The circuit physical fitness test requires candidates to wear a 4.2 kg vest and complete five consecutive courses: obstacle running, pole hurdle crossing, pulling and pushing, rescue simulation, and trigger pulling. Candidates who finish in 4 minutes and 40 seconds or less will pass. This test will be implemented in all police recruitment exams starting next year. However, as there are currently few places where candidates can experience the circuit physical fitness test, many are turning to private academies to prepare.

The Central Police Academy plans to conduct a pilot program for 60 people per day from December 16 to December 31, after which it will expand the number of participants and operating hours. Applications can be submitted through the National Police Agency's online application site, with registration opening at 9 a.m. on December 13.

An official from the Central Police Academy stated, "Since this is a new and unfamiliar type of test, it is true that candidates are feeling uncertain. However, those who have consistently trained their basic physical fitness should be able to identify and address any shortcomings based on their experience at the test center, leading to good results in the actual exam."
