Narae Park's IV Drip Mention Video Deleted from "I Live Alone"
Allegations of Illegal Medical Services via "Injection Auntie" Spread
Broadcaster Narae Park has become embroiled in allegations of receiving illegal medical services through the so-called 'Injection Auntie,' and controversy is mounting after the production team of the MBC variety show I Live Alone suddenly set to private a broadcast clip in which Park mentioned an intravenous drip.

On December 9, the I Live Alone team set to private part of the episode featuring Narae Park and Jaehyung Jung's kimchi-making segment, which originally aired in December last year, on their YouTube channel. In particular, attention was drawn to the removal of the video titled "Narae Park x Jaehyung Jung reserving IV drips? Shaky legs after hours of making kimchi," raising questions about the reason behind the decision to make it private.
In the video, Jaehyung Jung says, "I should get an IV drip when you make the reservation tomorrow," to which Narae Park responds, "Yes, let's book the IV drip together." At the time of broadcast, this was taken as a joke about the exhaustion from making kimchi, but as Narae Park recently became involved in illegal medical service allegations, the video has resurfaced. Some speculate that the video was proactively hidden due to potentially problematic content.
The controversy began when two of Narae Park's former managers, after resigning last month, claimed that they had suffered verbal abuse, were ordered to run personal errands, and were not reimbursed for work-related expenses, and announced plans for legal action. They have filed for a provisional seizure of real estate worth about 100 million won and have also initiated a damages lawsuit.
During this process, suspicions arose that Narae Park repeatedly received injection procedures and prescriptions from Ms. A, the 'Injection Auntie,' who does not hold a medical license in Korea.

Ms. A claimed to have graduated from Baogang Medical College in Inner Mongolia, China, but the doctors' group "Doctors for a Fair Society" pointed out that "the college is not registered with either the Chinese government or any international medical education accreditation body," effectively labeling it a "ghost medical school" that does not exist. They also explained, "Graduating from a Chinese medical school alone does not grant eligibility to take the Korean medical licensing exam."
Im Hyuntaek, former president of the Korean Medical Association, filed a complaint with the prosecution against Ms. A for violating the Medical Service Act, and the Korean Medical Association also issued a statement on December 8, saying, "This is an illegal, unlicensed medical act in violation of Article 27 of the Medical Service Act." They particularly highlighted suspicions that prescription drugs such as clonazepam, a controlled psychotropic substance for which proxy or remote prescriptions are prohibited, and trazodone, a prescription drug, were used, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation and punishment.
As the controversy spread, Narae Park issued an official statement on December 8, saying, "I believe I can no longer cause trouble for the program and my colleagues," and announced, "I will suspend all broadcasting activities until everything is resolved cleanly." As a result, the production and release of Park's YouTube channel 'Naraesik' and MBC's new variety show 'Nadosinna' have been completely halted.
Meanwhile, Seoul Gangnam Police Station has received complaints from Narae Park's former managers against Park, accusing her of aggravated assault, defamation by spreading false information, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation).
