Kyobo Bookstore is evoking a unique atmosphere with its late-night concert and dining lecture programs.
On December 12, 19, and 26, Kyobo Bookstore announced on December 8 that it will be hosting the "Late-Night Bookstore Concert: Winter at the Bookstore" at its Centum City branch in Busan. At 9 p.m., "Le Bois Ensemble," a quartet of musicians from Busan, will perform with flute, viola, cello, and classical guitar among the tranquil bookshelves. During the intermission, attendees will be served handmade strawberry desserts and camellia flower tea from "Kkotpineun4wol Milikneun5wol," a popular vegan bakery in Busan. Limited edition winter postcards (set of 4) for the late-night bookstore concert, created by illustrator SMIM, will also be given out. The participation fee is 89,000 won.
The dining lecture program "Art Museum for the Heart" will take place on December 17 at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul Art Hall. After enjoying a leisurely multi-course dinner, guests will have an in-depth appreciation of Klimt's themes of love, desire, and golden aesthetics, guided by the detailed commentary of docent Lee Jian. Jazz pianist Lee Hyeongmin will enhance the ambiance with a piano performance. The participation fee is 179,000 won.
A Kyobo Bookstore representative stated, "The end of the year is a time when the emotion conveyed by books and the depth of artistic experience can be felt even more deeply," adding, "We hope that through these two programs we have prepared this year, customers will find relaxation in their own way and enrich their emotional experience."
