Lee Dong-eun, a long hitter on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, continued her strong performance in her bid to advance to the United States.
On December 7 (local time), at Magnolia Falls Course (par 71) in Mobile, Alabama, Lee recorded pars on all four holes played in the third round of the LPGA Qualifying (Q) Series Final Stage. With an even-par performance, she dropped from a tie for second place the previous day to a tie for fourth at 8-under par. The round could not be completed due to severe weather followed by sunset.

Helen Briem of Germany maintained her lead at 10-under par by shooting one under through four holes. Among Korean players, Jang Hyojun was tied for 16th at 4-under, Lee Jeongeun6 tied for 27th at 2-under, Yoon Mina tied for 34th at 1-under, Joo Subin tied for 42nd at even par, and Annie Kim was tied for 55th at 1-over. Shin Bi finished tied for 77th at 2-over, and Bang Shinsil was tied for 94th at 5-over.
The Q-Series Final Stage has been shortened to 72 holes. The LPGA announced, "The third round of the Q-Series Final was suspended at 9:05 a.m. local time on December 7 due to unplayable course conditions and resumed at 2:30 p.m. We have decided to reduce the tournament to 72 holes with the goal of completing play by December 9." The announcement added, "There will be no cut, and the top 25 players at the conclusion of play will earn LPGA Tour cards for the 2026 season."

This Q-Series Final Stage was originally scheduled as a 90-hole competition over five days. Players were to play two rounds each at the Falls Course (par 71) and Crossings Course (par 72) at Magnolia Grove, with the top 65 advancing to the final round at the Crossings Course, where the top 25 would earn LPGA Tour status for the 2026 season.
However, from the first day, poor course conditions due to severe weather caused the schedule to be postponed by a day. Although the second round was completed the previous day, the third round was interrupted again due to weather and course conditions, and with little play possible before sunset, the tournament ultimately had to be shortened.
