At approximately 8:20 a.m. on December 7, 2025, a 119 ambulance carrying a patient crashed into a utility pole and road signs on the sidewalk while driving on a road in Hapjeong-dong, Masanhwoin-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.

As a result of the accident, a patient in their 60s and three paramedics, who sustained minor injuries, were transported to the hospital. The 119 ambulance and other vehicles were damaged. It was confirmed that the patient's condition did not deteriorate further.

There were no additional casualties, as no pedestrians were passing by the scene at the time.

It was confirmed that the three paramedics were transporting a patient who had lost consciousness at a nearby public bathhouse to the hospital. Only these four individuals were in the ambulance at the time of the accident.

The ambulance driver, a paramedic in their 20s, had been working throughout the night, including responding to an apartment fire in Wolyeong-dong, Masanhappo-gu, earlier that morning. Due to the heavy workload and lack of rest, the driver's concentration lapsed, leading to the accident.

There were no indications of drunk driving or driving without a license.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident.
