Saemaeul-ho Train and Passenger Car Collide at Boseong Railway Crossing... Driver Killed

A fatal accident occurred at a railway crossing when a train collided with a passenger car, resulting in the death of the driver.

At around 9:35 a.m. on December 7, 2025, a Saemaeul-ho Train No. 1088 and a passenger car collided at a railway crossing in Joseong-myeon, Boseong County, South Jeolla Province.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car, identified as A, a man in his 60s, sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital, but was pronounced dead.

The train had departed Mokpo Station earlier that morning and was heading toward Suncheon. It is reported that the crossing gate was down at the time of the accident.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
