Board of Audit and Inspection Appoints Hong Seongmo and Lee Suyeon as First and Second Deputy Secretary Generals, Lee Yoonjae as Director of Planning and Coordination

The Board of Audit and Inspection announced that Hong Seongmo, Director of the Social and Welfare Audit Bureau, has been appointed as the First Deputy Secretary General, and Lee Suyeon, Director of the Deliberation Office, as the Second Deputy Secretary General. Lee Yoonjae, Director of the Land and Environment Audit Bureau, has been appointed as Director of Planning and Coordination.

According to the Board of Audit and Inspection on December 5, the newly appointed First Deputy Secretary General, Hong, has previously served as Public Relations Officer, Director of Personnel Innovation, Director of Information Management, Director of Local Administration Audit Bureau 1, Director of Public Institutions Audit Bureau, and Director of Industrial and Financial Audit Bureau, among other positions. Most recently, he led the audit on the process of increasing medical school enrollment quotas. The Board explained that this round of appointments was made to restore public trust and to rigorously fulfill its mandate, taking into comprehensive consideration a strong sense of public duty, commitment, innovation capability, and peer evaluations.

The newly appointed Second Deputy Secretary General, Lee, has held positions in the Education Audit Team, Social Welfare Audit Team, Strategic Audit Team, and Public Institutions Audit Bureau, and has also served as Head of the Civil Complaints Investigation Team, Director of Information Management, Head of the Strategic Audit Team, and Director of Review Management. The Board of Audit and Inspection stated, "First Deputy Secretary General Hong is recognized for his ability to smoothly lead even the most challenging audits based on his diverse work experience," adding, "Second Deputy Secretary General Lee is known for his warm personality and exemplary leadership, enabling him to conduct audits with meticulous attention."

The newly appointed Director of Planning and Coordination, Lee, has previously served as Head of the Facility Safety Audit Team and Director of Local Administration Audit Bureau 1. Earlier this year, he was selected as an outstanding manager in the 'Leadership Evaluation for Executives' conducted by the staff council. The Board of Audit and Inspection explained, "He is distinguished by his steadfastness and decisiveness in handling work, and he has consistently focused on addressing public inconvenience and regulatory reform in his audits."
