On December 3, Korea Real Estate Board announced that it was awarded a commendation from the Minister of Gender Equality and Family at the award ceremony for the "2025 Gender-Equal Organizational Culture Initiative," held at the Seoul YWCA Hall.
This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, aims to raise gender equality awareness among public sector members and to incorporate a gender-equal perspective across all systems. This year, only 9 out of 351 central and local governments and public institutions were selected as meritorious organizations.
Korea Real Estate Board has strengthened its institutional foundation by introducing a women's appointment index for key departments, systematically managing a female talent pool, and operating a special promotion system for outstanding female employees. Notably, in 2025, the proportion of women among new hires exceeded 50 percent for the first time since the organization's founding, and the overall proportion of female employees increased from 27 percent ten years ago to 38 percent today.
In addition, the organization has continuously promoted gender equality awareness among its members through internal bulletin boards, social media campaigns, slogan contests, and various campaigns.
Chairman Son Taerak stated, "This award is the result of our organization-wide efforts to create a culture where all members can demonstrate their abilities, regardless of gender," adding, "We will continue to do our best to build a more equal and inclusive workplace."
