Water sports brand Barrel Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Youngjun) is launching the "Peanuts × Barrel Holiday Collection" in collaboration with the globally beloved "Peanuts™" franchise to celebrate the year-end season.


This collection is a limited-edition seasonal lineup that captures the Christmas spirit of Snoopy and his friends, featuring a wide range of products including swimwear for men, women, and kids, as well as special holiday swim caps. Barrel has consistently emphasized the brand’s unique sensibility and positive energy through various collaborations each season, and this Peanuts partnership was also planned to offer customers a warmer and more joyful holiday experience.


The hallmark of the "Peanuts × Barrel Holiday Collection" lies in its designs, which reinterpret the signature warmth of Peanuts with a Christmas mood. Elements that symbolize the season-such as Snoopy and Woodstock dressed in Santa hats and cozy padding, sparkling tree ornaments, and snowy winter landscapes-are delicately incorporated throughout the products, allowing customers to fully experience the warmth and charm of the holidays.


Additionally, the collection features classic holiday colors-red, green, and navy-accented with tartan check patterns that evoke a wintry feel. Notably, some styles are produced in Barrel’s signature "Reflection" swimwear design, characterized by a shimmering texture and subtle sparkle. The swim caps are available in a total of eight styles, utilizing artwork of various characters including Charlie Brown and Linus, in addition to Snoopy, thus enhancing their collectible value.


The "Peanuts × Barrel Holiday Collection" was available for pre-order sales from November 28 to December 4 through the official online store and select offline locations nationwide. Pre-order customers received a 10% discount on all products, along with a "Peanuts Holiday Pouch" featuring Snoopy and Charlie Brown artwork, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Consumer response during the pre-order period exceeded expectations, with certain sizes of swim caps and swimwear already selling out through reservations alone, demonstrating high demand. The promotional pouches were also fully claimed online. The collection officially goes on sale starting December 5.


A representative from Barrel stated, "This collaboration with Peanuts is especially meaningful as it delivers both a warm year-end atmosphere and childhood memories to many customers. We have prepared an emotional collection that anyone can enjoy wearing, tailored for the season when demand for indoor swimming, spas, and hot springs rises during winter." The representative added, "By infusing Barrel’s healthy and cheerful swim lifestyle with Peanuts’ signature charming holiday mood, we hope to make this winter even more special."


The characters and intellectual property rights of Peanuts are owned by WildBrain Ltd. (41%), Sony Music Entertainment Inc. (Japan) (39%), and the Charles Schulz family (20%). Since Charles Schulz first debuted Peanuts in seven newspapers in 1950, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang have left an indelible mark on popular culture. Today, Peanuts fans of all ages can enjoy the brand through amusement park attractions, cultural events, social media, comic strips in various formats, and both short and long-form specials on Apple TV, as well as through thousands of consumer products and digital content. In 2018, Peanuts entered into a multi-year space development agreement with NASA to inspire the next generation of students in STEM education and space exploration.
