The Shinan Transportation Foundation announced that it conducted capacity-building training for the second half of 2025 at the performance hall of Shinan County Office in South Jeolla Province on December 3.

This training was held in response to the government's "Safety First for the People" policy and aimed to prevent major accidents in advance. A total of 117 participants attended, including foundation staff, passenger ship crew members, ticket agents, and captains of ferries and administrative vessels, encompassing a wide range of field personnel.

The training focused on three key areas: ▲ the Serious Accidents Punishment Act ▲ customer service ▲ and passenger ship safety response. In the lecture on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act by instructor Kim Songhwan, the main provisions of the law and the importance of fulfilling obligations were emphasized, and practical case studies to enhance accident prevention awareness were also shared.

In the customer service training led by instructor Hwang Junghwon, behavioral guidelines were introduced to strengthen public service capabilities and establish a culture of kindness within the organization. In particular, the passenger ship safety training conducted by Han Hyungyu, Deputy Manager of the Operations Management Center, focused on improving response capabilities to prevent on-site accidents and protect both tourists and local residents.

Park Jongwon, Chairman of the Shinan Transportation Foundation, stated in his opening remarks, "Compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act is key to creating a safe working environment," and urged, "Let us use this training as an opportunity for all employees to develop into an organization that practices not only a culture of safety but also a culture of kindness and service."

Chairman Park further emphasized, "The foundation will continue to promote a variety of field-oriented training programs to strengthen accident prevention capabilities and enhance customer satisfaction going forward."
