The Regional Community Contribution Recognition System is a program that identifies and recognizes companies and organizations that have contributed to improving the quality of life for local residents and revitalizing the local community, awarding them grades based on their achievements.

Starting in 2022, Busan Port Authority has been recognized for four consecutive years, and has received the highest grade for three consecutive years since 2023, acknowledging its outstanding contributions to the regional community.

In particular, the authority received the highest "Expansion" score-the top level among five stages-across all 19 indicators, including environment (2), society (15), and governance (2). This corresponds to the stage where a social contribution organizational culture is established, and social contribution activities are expanded and improved.

Based on its proprietary social contribution brand "PORTER," which stands for Port Regional Partner, Busan Port Authority is working to close welfare gaps by building collaborative systems with various stakeholders surrounding Busan Port, including citizens, local governments, nonprofit organizations, the Busan Port community, and local businesses.

President Song Sangkeun of Busan Port Authority stated, "This recognition in the Regional Community Contribution System is both an acknowledgment of our past social contribution activities and a call to further expand them. We will continue to devote attention and effort to spreading a culture of sharing within the local community."
