The Defense Military Department of Youngjin College (headed by Kim Kibyung) and the Army's 5th Artillery Brigade signed a 'School-Military Partnership Agreement' on December 4 at the 5th Artillery Brigade, aiming for mutual cooperation, exchange, and support.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a collaborative system in various fields such as education, research, and field experience by linking the excellent human and material resources possessed by both institutions. Through this, they aim to foster mutual development and cultivate practical defense talent.
Officials from the 5th Artillery Brigade of the Army and the Defense Military Department of Youngjin College, who attended the school district partnership agreement ceremony, are seen shouting "Fighting".
Under the agreement, the two institutions will actively exchange and cooperate for the advancement of research and education, invite professors and military officials from relevant fields to academic events (such as seminars) hosted by each side, and continue to collaborate on all matters of mutual interest and development.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Jihwan (Army Brigadier General), Commander of the 5th Artillery Brigade, as well as related officials from both the brigade and the Defense Military Department of Youngjin College. They also discussed specific exchange programs and directions for future cooperation.
Kim Kibyung, Head Professor of the Defense Military Department, said, "This school-military partnership agreement is significant because it lays the foundation for our department's curriculum to be more closely linked with the actual mission, work environment, and organizational culture of military units. Through practical exchange programs such as security tours of artillery units, we will help students concretely design their career paths as military officers and realize defense education with a stronger emphasis on field experience."
Based on this agreement, the 5th Artillery Brigade plans to support a variety of cooperative programs for students in the Defense Military Department, such as security tours of the unit and introductions to officer duties, thereby contributing to the discovery of future military officer candidates and mutual growth with the local community.
Going forward, the two institutions plan to operate regular consultation channels, jointly host academic events, link educational programs for soldiers, and gradually implement student field training and barracks experience programs, thereby developing this into a practical model of school-military cooperation.
