KB Insurance announced on December 5 that it was selected as an 'Excellent Company in the Governance Category' at the '2025 Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS) Excellent Companies Awards Ceremony' held at the Korea Exchange in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of December 4.
The Korea ESG Standards Institute is a leading domestic ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation agency that annually selects and awards companies with outstanding ESG management activities.
KB Insurance received an A grade for the seventh consecutive year in the 2025 financial company governance evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute, being recognized as a financial company practicing sustainable management based on a stable governance structure. This year, the company once again demonstrated the advancement of its governance by receiving high scores in key areas such as the role and responsibility of the board of directors, internal controls, and risk management.

KB Insurance regularly reports on the status and plans of its ESG initiatives to the board of directors and continuously provides specialized training for the board in finance, accounting, and risk management, thereby strengthening the board’s capabilities. The company transparently discloses key governance data, including board evaluation results and directors’ compensation.
A representative from KB Insurance stated, "This award is very meaningful as it is external recognition of our efforts to establish a sound and fair governance system," adding, "We will continue to lead in ESG management and do our best to become a trusted partner for our stakeholders."
KB Insurance also received the highest rating of 'AA' for the fourth consecutive year since 2022 in the 2025 ESG evaluation by Sustinvest, another ESG evaluation agency. This year, the company ranked first in the insurance sector among 24 participating companies. In addition, it was selected as a recognized company for the seventh consecutive year in the '2025 Community Contribution Recognition Program' jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, further demonstrating its external achievements in ESG.
