Everland, Korea Folk Village, and Youth Training Center Included in Inspections
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on December 5 that it will conduct safety inspections on snow sledding parks ahead of their winter opening, from December 11 to December 22.
The inspections will cover a total of three locations: the Everland Snow Sledding Park, the Korea Folk Village Family Snow Sledding Park, and the Yongin City Youth Training Center Snow Sledding Park.
The city plans to conduct joint inspections involving experts from the Safety Management Advisory Group, such as professional engineers in architectural electrical facilities and construction, along with facility managers.
The inspections will focus on securing the safety of snow load-vulnerable structures, the management status of slopes, the availability of safety protection equipment, the deployment of safety personnel, emergency preparedness systems, and the implementation of safety education for users.
If any deficiencies are found during the inspections, immediate on-site corrective action will be required. The city will also track and manage all risk factors to ensure they are resolved before the parks open.
A city official stated, "We will continue to inspect the facilities so that citizens can enjoy winter leisure activities with peace of mind."
