On December 4, a representative from Park Narae's agency stated regarding the controversy over the managers' accusations of power abuse and the provisional seizure application, "We are currently discussing the matter with our legal counsel," and added that an official statement would be released later.

"Forced drinking and throwing glasses"... Former managers file 100 million won damages suit

According to Dispatch on the same day, Park Narae's former managers claimed they had suffered verbal abuse, physical injury, and harassment from Park Narae. They announced plans to file a damages lawsuit worth 100 million won and applied for a provisional seizure of her real estate at the Seoul Western District Court.

The managers alleged that during their employment, they were repeatedly given personal instructions such as being forced to drink, running errands for snacks, and cleaning up after parties. Some managers claimed they were verbally abused for refusing to drink alcohol and suffered injuries, including being hurt by a glass thrown by Park Narae.

Additionally, the former managers asserted that they were tasked with medical-related work such as making hospital appointments and obtaining prescriptions by proxy. They also claimed that expenses for business operations and personal spending were not properly settled. Unable to endure the unfair treatment, they decided to resign, and when they demanded resolution of outstanding payments, Park Narae's side allegedly mentioned the possibility of filing charges for defamation and forgery of private documents.

Controversy over unregistered one-person agency

Following these allegations, it was also revealed that Park Narae's one-person agency, Npark, was not registered as a popular culture and arts management business. According to Ilgan Sports on the same day, Park Narae has been affiliated with "Npark Co., Ltd.," established by her mother in 2018, and has effectively been working under this agency for over a year. However, it was reported that the agency has not completed the required registration as a popular culture and arts management business to date.

The Act on the Development of the Public Culture and Arts Industry stipulates that those who operate a popular culture and arts management business without registration may face up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won. Recently, singer and musical actress Ok Juhyun was also referred to prosecutors without detention on similar charges.

Park Narae debuted as a comedian through KBS's 21st open recruitment and gained popularity through MBC variety shows such as "I Live Alone" and "Where Is My Home." In 2019, she won the Grand Prize at the MBC Entertainment Awards and, the following year, received the Best Female Entertainer Award in the TV category at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
