The Korea Musical Producers Association is a coalition of domestic musical production companies. Based on a cooperative network among producers, the association was established in November 2021 to create an industry structure in which all personnel in the field-including actors, staff, and creators-can work in a stable and sustainable environment, and to establish a rational contract culture and a healthy collaborative culture.
Seungwon Han stated, "Musicals are a comprehensive art form created through the collaboration of countless creators, staff, and actors, but at the center lies the role of the production company, which designs and executes the production system." He added, "The association will restructure the industry so that each sector can be organically connected and will lay the foundation for creators and producers to grow together." Han continued, "We will promote projects that bring about tangible changes in the field, based on cooperation and trust among member companies. In particular, we will work to ensure that Korean musicals can continue to grow in the global market by discussing the enactment of the 'Musical Promotion Act' and expanding institutional support."
Hongseon Yoon, CEO of Acom, was elected as vice president of the association. The new non-executive directors are Byungwon Kang, CEO of Live; Mihye Kim, CEO of Sam Company; Dongwon Shin, CEO of S&CO; Inseok Jung, CEO of IM Culture; Insu Yoo, CEO of Yeonwoo Stage; and Jaehwan Noh, CEO of Contents Planning. The term of office for executives is four years.
