Seongju County Launches 2nd Public Officials Labor Union; Donates Daily Necessities to Neighbors

The Seongju County Public Officials Labor Union (Chairman Kim Sunil) held an inauguration ceremony on December 4 in the main auditorium of Seongju County Office to mark the new beginning of its 2nd term.


Chairman Kim Sunil, who has served as Head of the Public Relations Team, has built a foundation of communication and consensus, and with this inauguration, he is expected to lead the organization into a new phase as the 2nd Chairman.

The ceremony was attended by Lee Byunghwan, Mayor of Seongju County; Do Heejae, Chairman of the Seongju County Council; Jeong Younggil, member of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council; Seok Hyeonjeong, Chairman of the Korean Federation of Public Officials' Trade Unions; Gong Juseok, Chairman-elect; Kim Minseong, Chairman of the National City and County Public Officials' Union Federation; Ahn Changhee, Chairman of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Public Officials' Union Federation; as well as more than 70 union chairpersons and executives from across the country, totaling over 250 participants.


The event featured a congratulatory performance, presentation of plaques of merit and appreciation, the entrance of the union flag, an inaugural address, congratulatory speeches, a one-point agreement, solidarity messages, and introductions of executives.


In addition, instead of congratulatory flower arrangements, daily necessities were donated and distributed to neighbors in need, making the event a meaningful occasion for sharing.


Kim Sunil, the 2nd Chairman, stated, "Under the slogan 'A More Open Union, A Stronger Union, A Happier Workplace,' I will strongly pursue improvements in working conditions and the rights and interests of union members, and do my utmost to create a better Seongju County and a respected workplace culture."
