On December 3, the Gwangju Jeonnam Future Vision, a private think tank in the Gwangju and Jeonnam region, held its first anniversary talk concert. The organization emphasized that creating quality jobs through the integration of renewable energy and the AI industry is a key strategy to prevent the concentration of population and resources in the Seoul metropolitan area, especially amid the crises of low birth rates and population decline. The group has begun designing an actionable future plan for the region.

Since its launch on November 20 of last year, Gwangju Jeonnam Future Vision has continuously discussed the structural crises faced by Gwangju and Jeonnam, such as low birth rates, aging population, population outflow, and the risk of regional extinction. The think tank has also focused on fostering advanced future industries and strategies for mutual development. The organization has held discussions on key regional issues including the relocation of the military airport, administrative integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, energy transition and promotion of renewable energy, activation of the AI advanced industry, expansion of the metropolitan transportation network, creation of the Damyang Culinary Master Town, and preservation of prehistoric relics in the Boseong River basin.
The talk concert featured panelists including Co-Representative Moon Seunghyun, former Minister of the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development Lee Minwon, President of the Korea ICT Convergence Association Baek Yangsun, Metavoice Director Oh Seungyong, Youth Union President Kim Dajeong, Damyang Culinary Master Ki Sundo, Chosun University Honorary Professor Lee Kigil, and Gaon Platform CEO Cho Manyoung. Members of Future Vision and local citizens also participated in the event to discuss the future vision for Gwangju and Jeonnam.

Co-Representative Moon Seunghyun stated, "In a reality where regional shrinkage is becoming more apparent, creating quality jobs through the integration of renewable energy and the AI industry is a key strategy to ease concentration in the Seoul metropolitan area. We will propose practical and actionable alternatives for a sustainable future."
