On December 3, the Incheon Yeonsu Police Station announced that they had arrested a man in his 50s, identified as A, on charges including obstruction of official duties by deception and theft.

From March until last month, A is accused of making 750 false reports to 112, thereby interfering with police work.

According to the police investigation, he also visited police stations and local government offices multiple times to file malicious complaints or verbally abuse staff.

A had also been referred to summary trials five times for making false reports such as, "I found a weapon used in an unsolved case at home and put it in the mailbox," and "A bus driver is operating a bus while heavily intoxicated."

During the investigation, police additionally found that A had committed theft 20 times at local stores and had threatened store owners who reported him, leading to five additional charges including theft and retaliatory threats.

During police questioning, A stated, "I did it without any particular reason."
