Mr. Jae-Kwan Ahn saved three lives through organ donation before passing away. Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency
According to the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency on December 2, Jae-Kwan Ahn (22) donated his liver and both kidneys at Daejeon Eulji University Hospital on October 9.
Ahn collapsed in a traffic accident on September 24 and was transported to the hospital, but never regained consciousness and was declared brain-dead.
His family decided on organ donation, hoping that Ahn's unfulfilled dreams would live on as he breathed again through others.
Born as the youngest of two sons in Daejeon, Ahn was known for his lively and cheerful personality, always caring for those around him and earning praise wherever he went.
After graduating from high school, Ahn worked various jobs, including as a caf? barista and fitness trainer, to support his mother, who raised him alone. Recently, he had been preparing to find a stable job.
Ahn's mother shared her final farewell, saying, "My son, are you doing well in heaven? I can't believe you're not by my side, and I find myself in tears thinking of you. I'm sorry for letting you go first. And I love you, Jaekwan."
