Hyundai AutoEver Rises on Expectations for Sales Growth and AX Business Expansion [Market Focus]

As of 9:30 a.m. on December 2, Hyundai AutoEver's stock price on the Korea Exchange was up 16.11% from the previous day's closing, reaching 228,500 won. This surge appears to be driven by expectations for increased sales as Hyundai Motor Group's core pillar in its artificial intelligence (AI) transformation, as well as anticipation for new business expansion related to NVIDIA's GPU supply.

Recently, IT service companies such as Samsung SDS and LG CNS have seen their sales grow as they actively pursue AI transformation (AX) projects. In particular, Hyundai AutoEver has rapidly grown over the past two years, emerging as a key affiliate responsible for digital transformation under Hyundai Motor Group's software-defined vehicle (SDV) strategy.

The market expects Hyundai AutoEver to play a prominent role in Hyundai Motor Group's strategy to expand its AI and robotics business infrastructure. In particular, after Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, met with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, at the end of October and pledged cooperation on the advancement of "physical AI," expectations have grown that Hyundai AutoEver will benefit from this partnership.

On this day, Lee Hyunwook, an analyst at IBK Investment & Securities, stated, "The success of Hyundai Motor's physical AI strategy depends not on securing technology, but on how quickly the entire group can reorganize its data, organization, and work processes around AI. In this process, Hyundai AutoEver is highly likely to become the central pillar of the digital operating system (OS) that connects factories, robots, vehicles, and the cloud." He added, "Hyundai AutoEver's essential role is not so much as an 'AI model development company,' but rather as a company that builds and operates the digital OS underpinning the era of physical AI."

IBK Investment & Securities forecasts that Hyundai AutoEver will post sales of 4.137 trillion won and operating profit of 257.4 billion won this year, up 11.4% and 14.7%, respectively, from the same period last year.
