The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan; Kim Bo-chan, Head of S-OIL Ulsan Complex; Jeon Young-do, Chairman of Ulsan Community Chest of Korea; and other officials. Of the 191 million won donated, 50 million won will be provided as fuel vouchers to help neighbors in need spend a warm winter, while 141 million won will be used to support book donations to local children's centers, sponsorships for youth development accounts, and assistance for 14 social welfare institutions in Ulsan, enabling them to carry out various welfare projects as needed.
Kim Bo-chan, Head of S-OIL Ulsan Complex, stated, "It is especially meaningful that S-OIL is serving as the first donor for the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign, acting as a catalyst for others. I hope this donation will help achieve the goal of the Love Thermometer campaign." He added, "As a company that has grown together with Ulsan, S-OIL will continue to create jobs and pursue a variety of social contribution activities needed by the local community, based on our core value of sharing."
Jeon Young-do, Chairman of Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, said, "S-OIL Ulsan Welfare Foundation has become a role model in the local community through its ongoing sharing activities. I am grateful for their generous donation at a time when social welfare facilities and institutions are facing significant challenges. The donated funds and fuel vouchers will help neighbors in need spend a warmer winter."
Since 2007, the S-OIL Ulsan Welfare Foundation has been engaged in various social contribution activities for the local community, including providing heating oil to low-income households during the winter season, supporting welfare projects through local social welfare facilities, and purchasing and distributing eco-friendly rice produced in the region.
