Lee Byungheon Provides Audio Guide for National Museum of Korea's Impressionism Special Exhibition

Thirty Works from the Metropolitan Museum's Lehman Collection Introduced

Lee Byungheon Provides Audio Guide for National Museum of Korea's Impressionism Special Exhibition Actor Lee Byungheon

Actor Lee Byungheon has provided the audio guide for the special exhibition "From Impressionism to Early Modernism: Collectors of Light," a collaborative project between the National Museum of Korea and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

According to his agency BH Entertainment on December 1, this exhibition is a large-scale project showcasing eighty-one pieces from the Robert Lehman Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Of these, sixty-five works are being loaned to an external exhibition for the first time, debuting in Korea.

Lee Byungheon explains thirty major works representing Impressionism and early Modernism, including Renoir's "Two Young Girls at the Piano" and Van Gogh's "Flowering Orchard." He was deeply involved in the recording process, meticulously adjusting each sentence and pronunciation himself.

The Robert Lehman Collection, amassed over two generations by Philip Lehman and Robert Lehman, is built upon a profound understanding and discerning eye for Impressionism and French art. The National Museum of Korea has reinterpreted the collection from the perspective of Korean visitors, illustrating how the experiments of Impressionism evolved into early Modernism.

The exhibition runs until March 15 next year in Special Exhibition Hall 1 at the National Museum of Korea.
