Different Home Screens and Menus Tailored to Customer Preferences
On December 1, Samsung Financial Networks announced the launch of "New Monimo," a comprehensive overhaul of its financial platform, Monimo.
Monimo is an integrated app that brings together the application services of Samsung’s financial companies. Since its launch in 2022, it has surpassed 10 million members in just two years and four months. According to Mobile Index, the app recorded 7.6 million monthly active users (MAU) as of October.
Samsung Financial explained that the platform now allows customers to select a home screen based on their preferences. Customers who use a wide range of basic app services can choose the "Daily Finance" type, those interested in stocks and asset management can opt for the "Daily Investment" type, and customers seeking various daily benefits and events can select the "Daily Benefits" type.
The "MONI PICKS" section at the top of the home screen provides curated content tailored to each customer’s financial assets and areas of interest. For example, customers who are highly interested in stock trading can monitor securities market information on the Daily Investment home screen while also viewing real-time price changes and major news about their holdings at a glance through MONI PICKS.
The menu structure has also been revamped. Previously, menus were organized by company-life insurance, non-life insurance, cards, securities, and so on. For improved convenience, they have been reorganized into categories such as accounts, investment, cards, insurance, investment, pensions, and loans. For instance, customers considering additional pension contributions for year-end tax adjustments previously had to check multiple screens for Samsung Life, Samsung Fire & Marine, and Samsung Securities. With New Monimo, all Samsung Financial pension products can be viewed on a single "Pension" screen.
Additionally, a new feature allows customers to easily and quickly access frequently used functions by placing shortcut menus directly on their home screen.
Samsung Financial also unveiled a new logo, featuring a 3D effect and a color gradient from blue to mint. This symbolizes the four Samsung financial affiliates coming together as a unified financial concierge platform, aiming to deliver a personalized customer experience.
New Monimo is available for download from the App Store. Existing Monimo users can simply update their app.
Han Sangmin, Executive Director in charge of Monimo at Samsung Card, stated, "We revamped Monimo with the goal of providing a more differentiated and convenient customer experience," adding, "Going forward, we plan to further develop Monimo’s services in asset management and life care by incorporating new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and stablecoins."
